My iPhone was at 1% and I kept it for changing.I accidentally went to sleep while waiting for it to charge and I got up after 2 hours to see it was fully charged and the power was still on....

No. Nothing will happen to your iPhone. Apple has designed the charger so that they will not overcharge the battery even if you leave it plugged in all the time.
It has never been possible to overcharge any Apple lithium battery powered device. They all have, and always have had, built in over charge protection.
