Spotlight search locate file location

How do I find where a file is stored in my computer using spotlight? When I do a search the file appears, but not the folder that it is located in

When you see a file listed in Spotlight results, select the file name, and press the command key to see the folder hierarchy to the file. If you press the command key, and double-click on the selected filename, it will open a new Finder window at the file location. It is not designed to open a new tab in an existing Finder window.
