Apps not remembering accounts information

I have several apps that store login information, facebook, instagram, Prosper that are supposed to remember the account or accounts I use with the applications without re-logging in or supplying username or password.

For instance I logged in instagram with a few accounts using the "add account" feature, I can switch between accounts with no issue. I never log out. A few hours later, I start up instagram again. It prompts me for username and password, no record of any account I just used.

Prosper, I've been using this for years, all of a sudden it acts like its a new app I just downloaded with intro to Prosper, login or register. I supply my username and password. Weird thing is it asks me for pin code and Touch ID to get it (which it did before). I get it do my thing. Next morning, same thing.

Facebook, I switch between Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Groups and Events and Page Manager. When I come back from Page Manager sometimes Facebook confirms with me that I am Me and then lets me in. Then, Page manager does the same and confirms that it can send me notifications, which already have been turned on.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Thanks for replying, bcbeatty, and that additional info, it really helps! Since these steps didn't help your issue, your next step is to use iTunes on your Mac or PC to backup and restore your iOS software to factory settings, as this process erases the information and settings on your device and installs a fresh copy of the latest iOS software. Temporarily setup your phone as new to test your issues, and then restore your backup and test the issues again.

Hello bcbeatty,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are having to re-login to apps on your iPhone, even though you recently used them and were logged in already. First, please use the steps from this article with the apps you're having this issue with to help resolve this issue:

If an app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open

If you're still having this issue after trying those steps, we would like you to reinstall iOS on your device; this will help us isolate the situation further. Reinstalling iOS should not affect any of your data, but it is always a best practice to make sure you have a current backup in either iTunes or iCloud.

Once you have a current backup, follow the steps from the "If your device turns on but gets stuck during start up" section in this article:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on

These steps will reinstall iOS. Keep in mind that these steps were written for a different issue, but they will still help us isolate the situation further. Cheers!
