Change background color in Notes

I have an old note created when the Note background was a yellow line page. The text I copied in had a white background, so I changed it to match the yellow background of the Note. Now in iOS 10, I have a yellow background on a white default Note background. How do I get rid of the yellow? It appears one can only change the font color.
