After updating to ios 10.3.1 Siri is gone from settings.

Try this anyway to be sure...

Settings > General > Restrictions > Allow > are Siri & Dictation turned to ON (green)?

If the above does not help try holding down the Sleep/Wake button and the Volume Down button at the same time for at least ten seconds until the Apple logo appears and then allow the phone to restart.

If a restart does not help try a System Restore. First backup your device using iTunes. Also import your photos to your computer and copy all important data. Try restoring as New first and testing it. If it works then try restoring the backup and test it again. The backup could be corrupted and if so you would have to restore as new again. If the above steps do not help, I suggest having it tested at an Apple store.

Same issue related to No Mic on Keyboard for dictation in Messages.

RESOLVED by: Settings / General / Keyboard / then scroll waaaaaay to the bottom and turn Enable Dictation green.

Go into Settings / General and enable Restrictions. (You will be promoted to set a PIN.) Disallow Siri and Dictation. Exit Restrictions back to General settings. Re-enter Restrictions after entering your PIN. Now allow Siri and Dictation. Exit Settings. All should be working. At least it was for me.

Which country are you in?

1. Check Settings > General > Restrictions > Siri & Dictation: ON (green)?

Note you need to enable Restriction to make changes in here.

2. Also check Settings > Privacy > Location Services: ON? > Siri & Dictation> While Using?

Press and hold the home button till you get to able Siri after that able Siri and ask "go Siri setting" and from that it is going to take you to the settings of Siri and then able the hey Siri and from that it going to pop up in the settings.

Thanks for that. It's sad that resetting everything was the only way to fix it. I spent two hours trying to get my email account and other settings working properly after that reset but at least dictation is working again. Thanks

The fix that worked for me was enabling restrictions then turning off allow dictation under the restrictions menu and turning it back on. I should add also that all the apps that I had running closed by double tapping and swiping up.

Settings / General and enable Restrictions. (Set PIN.)

Turn off Siri and Dictation.

Exit Restrictions back to General settings.

Re-enter Restrictions (enter PIN).

Turn on Siri and Dictation.

Exit Settings.

Tried all the suggestions, but nothing worked. Tried this and Siri magically returned (along with microphone on keyboard).

Settings > General > Restrictions > Enable Restrictions - make up passcode > Turn off Siri (green to grey) > Home button > Settings > General > Restrictions > Turn on Siri (grey to green) = presto Siri and Mic returned!

You, my friend, are a ROCK STAR! Enabling Disbaling and Enabling Siri in Restrictions worked. I spent an hour on the phone with Apple Care on Saturday. They had me try everything I had already tried to no avail. Did a hard reset. No avail. Went to the Genius Bar. They couldn't figure it out either. They gave me a new iPhone. I went home and restored from iCloud. Still no microphone.

Go to settings>General>reset at the bottom. Reset Keyboard. Reset location. Then reset all settings. Phone then turned back on and i now have Siri.
