How do I fix the skipping in my airpods?
When listening to music, the airpods will have a "fast skip" in them.

I have dealt with this as well. Make sure your AirPods are updated to the most recent version by connecting them to your device. It should automatically install the update. If problems still occur, go to Bluetooth in settings, and tap the 'i' next to your AirPods. Tap 'forget device', it will ask if you are ok with deregistering the AirPods from your iCloud account, accept this. Once you've done that, open the AirPods case, and hold the button on the back of the case until a red/orange light blinks and then close the case. This just 'reset' the AirPods. Now unlock your iPhone, open the AirPods case and follow the on-screen instructions on pairing the AirPods again with your device. If problems still occur, your AirPods comes with a one-year warranty and I would definitely take your device into a Genius Bar at a local Apple Store for a replacement Pod or a full replacement.
