Can I store my drivers license in wallet?

Wouldn't Wallet have benefits for the registered user such as improved security, ease of access and in some cases the driver's license on iPhone may be accepted for ID purposes by some merchants or government agencies and increasingly so in the future with biometrics.?

Maybe, in the future... which is not relevant now as there is only one state that accepts an electronic drivers license for identification and that requires a special app. In addition, that State's electronic drivers license is NOT accepted in other States.

The short answer is , yes. The long answer is that the issuer must support digital passes. I know most of the country thinks Alabama is bassackwards when it comes to most issues, but Alabama was one of the first to offer a digital ID that also works with Wallet. Hertz will accept an email on your phone from the state showing your license. Why not put a drivers license in wallet. If its secure enough for a credit card, it should be secure enough for a license. Cops will look you up independently and car Rental places would support it (cause the states who issue the licenses would have to issue their own app to app store.

Despite everyone saying no, I actually have my license in my wallet on my iPhone. When I renewed my license online (State of Alabama) they sent me an email with a link to add it into my wallet. Hope this helps!

No. Wallet can store credit and debit cards as well and passes and tickets.

There is no support for IDs or other personal cards.

Even if you could, it would not be accepted as identification.

If it's just an image of your license that you want....just take a photo of it. You can always make an album entitled DRIVER'S LICENSE.
