apple watch sport pairing issue

The following steps may help (try again after each):

On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > General > Usage > Software Update - delete any update file, if one is shown.

Delete any beta profiles that may be installed for your iPhone and/or Apple Watch and then restart both devices after doing so.

Restart both your iPhone and your Apple Watch (normally):

• Close the Watch app on your iPhone:
  • Double-click the Home button, then swipe up on the Watch app preview to close it.
• Turn both devices off together, then restart your iPhone first;
  • Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
  • Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Unpair and re-pair your Apple Watch (which updates watchOS as part of the process):

• The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch when unpairing via the app. Choose to Restore from Backup when offered the option during set up. Most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions (eg Apple Pay cards, passcode).

I have the same issue. I've tried what you said and this is what I got:

1. General - Usage is not an option available if the watch isn't paired.

2. There's not a beta profile that I know about.

3. Done. Still doesn't work.

4. Restore option is not offered anywhere.

I have been trying for weeks to pair my apple watch2 to several different bluetooth speakers and a bluetooth earbud. I tried most of the suggestions listed hear and elsewhere. I always got a message indicating i should either move the bluetooth device closer to the apple watch or make sure it was turned on in discoverable mode.

I finally found an answer. Without deleting anything, unpairing anything or doing any of the other suggestions; I put my apple watch in airplane mode by swiping up on the apple watch screen and selecting the airplane icon. i then started the bluetooth device in discoverable mode, then on the apple watch went to settting>bluetooth and turned on the bluetooth. When the bluetooth device appeared on the apple phone bluetooth screen I selected it and voila it paired. I then took the apple watch off airplane mode. It then paired w/o putting the apple watch in airplane mode..

This method worked with all of the bluetooth devices.
