can apple run a diagnostic test on my iphone and find out the exact time something broke?

I am talking with someone that bought an iPhone from me and he broke the SIm reader in it using a paper clip. I told him I would not exchange him back so he told me he was going to get a diagnostic to see when the sim reader broke.
