I have Photos on all three of my apple products (MacBook Pro, iPhone of recent model and iPad) set to share everything across iCloud.
But how long does it take for a photo I take on my phone to appear in iCloud and, more importantly, when does it appear on the other devices?
Your collection uploads to iCloud each time your device connects to Wi-Fi and your battery is charged. Depending on your Internet speed, the time it takes for you to see your photos and videos on all of your devices and iCloud.com might vary.

Hey, while I have the eyes of someone who knows what s/he is doing, I have to ask one more question!!!
When I can't wait for the share to happen through iCloud (because I need the photos or videos for work asap), I use airdrop to get the file from my phone to Photos my MacBook Pro. Then eventually there are two versions of the file in Photos! Is that normal?

It's possible. Leave the device plugged in overnight and connected to your WiFi.

That's unusual as when I send photo(s) to anyone in my family using AirDrop, I only see the one photo I sent still in Photos (not two).
