Is there any way to make Magic Mouse II work as intended in OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks?

Hi.

I have an old Mac Pro 3.1 running Mavericks 10.9.5. I used to have the first Magic Mouse.

But after switching to the Magic Mouse II, most of the magic was no longer working.

Have since then found out that Magic Mouse II requires OS X 10.11 or higher to work properly.

Is`t there any way to fix this so I don`t have to upgrade my OS?

Mac Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), Magiuc Mouse II

Hello terje206,

Magic mouse 2 may not work perfectly with Mavericks. It was designed for El Capitan and higher so to get the best out of it you will need to upgrade to at least El Capitan. It also requires bluetooth 4.0. There is no way to get around this.

Strange as it may seem, the old USB magic mouse and MM1 works fine with all the current OS's. I think it is part of the general upgrading process and that even the old mice will not function soon.
