See the following from https://help.netflix.com/en/node/54816

You can download select TV shows and movies to watch without an Internet connection from the Netflix app on your Apple iOS or Android mobile devices and computers or tablets running Windows 10. Downloads are not currently supported on other devices.

Note tha is only applicable to downloading. You can stream Netflix movies to a Mac using your browser (e.g., Safari). See: https://help.netflix.com/en/node/55764

Just because you don't get paid gives you no right to be condescending.

As other "fellow" users, we have the same right as you do to use our own phraseology and/or to express our opinions as long as we do not violate the ToU here.

Criticizing posters' responses, especially considering this is a dormant 6 months old thread, is not helpful. If you do not care for someone's response, simply ignore it, or, if you believe it to be incorrect, post the correct answer addressing the person who asked the question.

Here is a link to the ToU:

The answer posted by FoxFifth doesn't answer the question. Someone please answer the question

It does very clearly answer the question.

You can download on iOS and android devices as well as Windows computers or tablets. macOS is not mentioned so its clear downloads are not supported on a Mac.

The answer is: you can't download netflix content on a Mac.

That's not clear. The question is how does one download on a mac. The answer was how to download on other devices. That's not an acceptable form of answering the question. "That's currently not available on the Mac OS" is an acceptable answer. Don't send people on a wild goose chases for the sake of appearing like you're being helpful.

What wild goose chase?

It's the Netflix website. Their help and support pages. They wrote it that way. Nobody sent anyone on any wild goose chase. Unless you are unable to actually interpret standard written english.

If you ask "Can I ride the Bus at 10pm" And someone answers "Busses operate from 6am to 9pm daily." Can you not interpret from that that you cannot ride a bus at 10pm?

I agree with the poster - The answer is over complicating the situation. The simple concise answer is. No I am sorry Netflix do not support downloads on the Mac OS. Instead the answer told you all the devices you CAN download content from Netflix with. Yes it answers the question, if you think about it, but it is over complicating a simple answer to a simple question. I was also looking for the answer to the question. And quite frankly you guys (and I appreciate your not paid) ganged up and were rude and condescending to the poster. Sorry but I felt like I had to respond, because they were correct. Just because you don't get paid gives you no right to be condescending.

Yes as expected I didn't expect you to admit you were wrong. I happened to be looking for an answer to the same question, that is why I saw this thread that is 6 months old. And I was moved to reply, not because of the "phraseology" but because of the condescending tone to the original poster. Just because you are an Admin or contributor, does not make you guys God. Typical I must say, a little power and all that. Don't worry I won't reply again. And if I get a notified that you have responded to this I won't bother opening that. So don't bother answering. Have a nice day😁
