iPhone with "Ring" Doorbell

I have an iPhone 6 plus with iOS 10.3.1. I have it set up with a 4 digit security code to access my phone. I just purchased a "Ring" doorbell. I have found that when my phone sleeps, I cannot answer the alert because it enforces the code entry. Is there any way around this? I am also having issues with it not ringing audibly despite having all the notifications "on." I have done all the troubleshooting listed on the Ring site, and finally phoned. They told me it is likely to be related the the security code/sleep and that I needed to contact Apple. Any ideas on how to get around it? If not, the doorbell isn't much good to me.

Thanks

What is important to you a 4 digit security code that locks your phone or a "ring" doorbell that is poorly design that it can't work with an iPhone?

if security isn't an issue, then disable the 4 digit passcode so you can use a "ring" doorbell.

Hi razmee 209 - Yes security is important to me...I have to have the security on the phone for work. BUT, I think I may have found a solution from Apple Care. I activated the Touch ID, so I can quickly get into my phone with my finger print and I think that works. I can answer the ring more quickly. I tested it and it seems to work, but I'll update this thread if it doesn't pan out.
