Having Issues Accessing Certain Websites

I'm getting this message when I click on some web links "The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred". The first time I clicked the link it asked about apple application verification and I said I trusted it but still no access. This was happening before and after I updated to the Sierra software.

No you don't need to have extensions just that they are available to add functionality to Safari but occasionally you might get one that could interfere with how Safari works.

I have tried to access the site via Safari and I can't get through either, it maybe just that the developer of the website has not factored in that some people may use Safari to access the site and they have only legislated for 'popular' web browsers. Its local govt so they have probably only gone for the lowest common denominator.
