new ipad cosmetic issue

There is no physical damage or using issue with the new ipad, everything is working fine, but when I started using it and holding it in my hand, I find that there is a soft part right below the white screen beside the button, and it seem like that part is not sticking well and is abit popped. It does not affect the functionality of the ipad but when holding it I feel quite irritated by that small corner where there will be a sticking sound heard whenever I touch that soft part of the screen. I have send in to the nearest centre for the technical person to look into it but they told me due to there is no issue with the ipad and that screen is not seriously popped or damaged they are most likely unable to exchange for me or repair it. This is not because I have used the ipad for very long or due to wear and tear, this problem came along when I received it like 1 week ago. This is hard to detect when making first purchase from the store. I thought the quality of apple product should not be like a cheap product with a low standard that tolerate for low workmanship. For the price I paid for new product and high expectation, workmanship should include every details. I could not tolerate a little defect on my new ipad so if I could not get a good replacement I will be very upset with Apple. Does anyone also face problem with their cosmetic issue like the corner of their screen seem soft and loose, and got a sticky sound when pressed? Did they replaced or repair for you or just let it be rejected? Now I can only wait with a unknown answer for 3-5 days after they send it to their service centre to check but if they also find that this problem is minor and does not cause any issue with the Ipad, they will probably just send back to me after going through all the trouble of going to the service centre, taking off my newly bought screen protector that cost me 9 bucks and long wait.
