i have searched here and google.
i would like to hide most applications in applications folder because I have not used them so far. I don't want to delete them because i might need them later.
all suggestions appreciated.

Please take my suggestion and leave them all alone. There is no need to nor advantage from hiding them. If you do then they will never be updated because installers won't be able to find them.
If what you want is a frequently used (Favorites) subset of Apps, then create a folder, and put Aliases for each of the Apps in that folder. (Finder -> File -> Make Alias)
Then drag that folder to your Dock and you have a nice set of favorites, without touching or worse moving the apps in the Applications folder (moving apps in the Applications folder has some rather nasty side-effects).
If you insist on hiding, then you will have to mess with the Terminal and use chflags to set the hidden flag.
