IOS 10.3.1 battery drain issues on iPhone 7+

Since, updating my iPhone 7+, my iPad air 2, my iPad mini 3, my iPod 6 to 10.3.1, all 4 devices are having a major battery drain Issues. I have checked battery in system to see what is causing the issue, always seems the last app I run, is at 75% Home & lock screen around 50%. Everything else 1 to 3%.

Even if I do a full charge, reboot the device and with nothing running, they all are out of battery in the morning. Used to take almost 2 days for the phone to get that way, but now less than 6 hours it is out of charge, same with all the others. I have to leave them one of them on the charger over night just to have one of them with a full battery charge in the morning

before 10.3.1, my 3 month old iPhone would last almost 2 days...my iPad Air over night would be down to 80% but now 1% after 8 hours idle... same for the other 2. Looking at battery after they are idle overnight with a blank screen, home and lock screen is at 50%. Any idea's?

My 6s has been experiencing the same issue since "upgrading" to 10.3.1 2 weeks ago. After my phone keep draining too quickly I reset my phone back to factory new and I have not added any new apps, my phone is still "factory new" and I tested it last night by starting with 100% charge at 10 pm and waking this morning to a dead (2%) charge. No sense keeping an empty phone so I will now restore my phone, but the test is complete, no hanging apps, no location services draining the phone, SIMPLY IOS 10.3.1.

P.S. I had my battery changed at a local fix it shop as Apple store is 80 miles away, one way, phone still drains and apple tech support refuses to talk to me now!!!. Phone is out of warrantee so no big deal but don't think the phones have a battery problem, they don't, they have a 10.3.1 problem.

Yes it's definitely the OS and since many of my posts have been deleted as they say it's regards beta...so unable to offer any better solution than to wait for official iOS 10.3.2 to come out and see how it helps...my Wife is getting the s8+ 2moro...

I have i7+ , Apple Watch , AirPods , iPad mini so I'm a Apple fanboy but this battery drainage issue is seriously affecting my loyalty...

Should I give android anther shot ?

I'm having the same issue. I upgraded my Iphone 6 to 10.3.1. Ever since then, my battery drains like crazy. I thought it was the battery and had it replaced. Even after doing that it still had a battery drain problem. So then I reset it back to the factory settings using ITunes. Well, that didn't work either. I charged it to 100% at 11 p.m. last night and by 6:30 a.m. today it was down to 22%. Apple needs to get the update fixed.

I restored the software and the apps. All worked with some trial and error. Today 10 hours after full charge with 5 calls, 10 messages and light use of other features I am at 24%. A lot better than it was, nearly ZERO in 6 hours, but still much worse than before the IOS upgrade to 10.3.1. When I talked to support people and a senior advisor they were not aware of the power draining issue.

Very valid point here regarding apples lacklustre approach to what I consider the largest problem ever experienced with an Apple product (s).

Samsung is looking better each day this goes unsolved. Seriously folks.

My "fix" if you can call it that, has been to turn off anything to do with analytics and/or communicating performance to Apple of my Apple products. My phone is 90% performing. No battery drain, etc. SINCE I discontinued ALL analytic reporting to Apple.

That being said, Apple must have some concern about fewer and fewer products reporting into them? Yet, no major fix as of yet?

I may have posted before that I spend several hours with Apple support to get my phone restored. The purpose was to install the new system from scratch. I lost many apps in the process and had to get them back from the store.

The process eventually succeeded and there is an improvement. Rather than getting the battery drain 100% in about 6 hours of use, now it takes almost a full day. Still 6-8 hours fewer than before the upgrade.

I had a similar issue with my brand new iPhone 6s+. Someone mentioned to just sign out of iCloud. Tried that and it worked! Funny thing is, my wife has a 6s+ too, to duplicate the issue i upgraded her device to 10.3.1, same exact symptoms. I suggest signing out of iCloud and see if that helps. My conclusion now is that iCloud is pure evil, and just dumping iCloud worked for my and my wifes 6s+. Worth a shot.

I am about to lose it. Third 7+ in a month. My phone is for personal and business and I have probably spent a collective 4 days trying to fix this. COUNTLESS phone calls with Senior Advisors, Trips to Verizon Store. Erasing, Restoring, Resetting, Erase, Restore, Re-Pair, Repeat. We have 10 Apple devices in our home and I am so close to throwing them out the window. I wake up with 100% charge, send 2 texts and it is at 70%. I just updated and NOTHING. Same story.

I agree 100%. My iPhone 6 would last 1.5 to 2 days on a full charge before the upgrade to 10.3.1. I have tried all of the suggestions on this board and nothing works. It wasn't a gradual decrease in battery life, it happened as soon as i upgraded to 10.3.1 . This is my first iPhone and if Apple won't fix this it will be my last. Now they want me to upgrade to 10.3.2 but I will not. I am now shopping for a new phone and it won't be Apple!!
