TV shows not loading
Have been receiving "An error occurred loading this content", on my purchased tv shows and have not been able to load for days. Can you please help? I have restarted and restored with no improvement.

Hi, I picked up a useful reply from another thread. Tried it myself and it improved the situation much. Here goes:
"Go to settings, apps, iTunes Movies and TV Shows, where it says Quick Start turn it to Off - Problem fixed. They said this is a problem they are investigating and are looking at a fix for this. "
I have the same problem. The last 2 episodes of I series I bought would not play with AppleTv but would do just fine in my iPad.
Hopping to hear from Apple with a fix soon.
I'm having the exact same issue. No purchased episodes from April will play on AppleTV. Numerous resets, unpluggings, ect. Atv plays pre-april episodes without any issues. WTH Apple???
Things have been fine for me, but that could be because I'm in a different location, but a few have noted this and some have been in contact with Apple who say they are aware of it and working on it.
As I said, Apple apparently knows about this issue with content after April 1 and the Apple TV 2, you may regret making the purchase if it's fixed soon unless of course, you want to buy one anyway.
Has this been officially confirmed, that this is an issue for the aTV Gen2 only?
Contrary to my previous post...I just checked on the Apple website and I am using an aTV THIRD GENERATION!! So it is NOT limited to the 2nd gen boxes!

Nothing is officially confirmed with very rare exceptions.
6.2.1 is an Apple TV 2, model number A1378 (MC572) is also an Apple TV 2. I'm not saying it's definitely limited to the Apple TV 2, just that it seems like you have the 2.
I put a complaint at https://reportaproblem.apple.com/
I guess that's a good way to make Apple officially aware of the issue.

I've seen this issue slot where I work, but I've seen a work around, that seems to work for most. Try home sharing from mac to ATV
Same issue - will play on my iPad and Macbook but cannot use AirPlay or play the episodes directly on Apple TV. Is it an issue with Gen2 Apple TV only or are others having the same problem?

I would hate to think the problem was manufactured to stimulate sales of the latest Apple TV. 😮

As you say, they haven't botheted with being undethanded when screwing legacy product owners... Why would they srart now?
