456 and + keys not responding

The 456 and + buttons will not work on my numeric keypad on my standard apple wired keyboard. The 456 and + still work fine on the normal keys above letters. I have plugged a different exact same model apple full wired key board in and have the same issue with alternative keys so it must be a software issue.

Greetings, Allanna.
After reviewing your post, it appears that there are certain keys on the number pad of your wired keyboard that aren't working with your iMac. Good job in testing other keyboards. I'm happy to help you with this. Test the issue after each of the processes below are completed.

  1. Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac
  2. How to reset NVRAM on your Mac
  3. Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac -- Test how it responds in safe mode. If there are no issues, reboot normally and test again in your own user account. Remember this when booting in safe mode: Limited graphics performance in OS X recovery or safe mode
  4. How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac -- If the issue is also happening in safe mode, use this article to test another user account. This will demonstrate if the issue is isolated to your account, or if it's system wide.

Let me know how that goes and take care!
