Final cut pro x only 720p possible

Hello,

I'm considering to buy Final Cut pro X. Therefore I downloaded the test version. I created a very simple video. But I can't export. If I try to export, I only offers 720p. If I try to change the setting, 1080p is greyed out. But FCPX did recognize that the source files are 1080p60 / 60fps. This doesn't depend if I chose export for apple or anything else...

I'm seriously disappointed, I'm working with several video cut programs and never had such a basic problem...

I'm hoping for your help !

Thanks for the answer.

I found this advice already when I searched the forum before I posted. The modify button doesn't appear in my case.

But meanwhile I found the solution. The issue seems to be related to how I created the project. If you click new project, you're asked about those details. If you just drag the clips in, there seems to be a default setting which can't be changed later. Most programs ask if the setting doesn't fit to the clips. Maybe a potential for improvement....

The default setting is to base the project on the first clip put into it. If you choose a custom setting, it will not change regardless of the first clip. There is always a Modify button in project properties. Not sure where you were looking. Perhaps you were basing what you were doing on old information.
