RSIM Card Tray to Normal Sim Card Tray Switch

I've Recently bought an iPhone 5s (used) which is japan locked and uses a particular type of sim card called the RSIM and from where I'm from (Philippines) we don't use RSIM just regular nano sims and whatever.

Recently I have seen the effect of putting a normal nano sim card into an RSIM Card Tray.

1 important thing that affected the performance of my phone I have to assume it was because of the RSIM is with the messaging app.

My contacts can send me text messages but when I wanna reply to them it just doesn't send. The thing is it was this only particular thing that was affected.

The Phone app works (I can call any of my contacts and I too receive calls from them)

My Mobile Data works fine (My mobile dating used for surfing on apps like facebook or Instagram still works fine)

The only problem really is me not being able to send a text back or even send texts in general

And I'm just wondering if changing the RSIM Card Tray to a Normal Sim Card Tray would help solve that problem?

Thank you in advance to anyone who can solve this issue for me.

The only carrier that can permanently unlock an iPhone is the carrier it is locked to. No other carrier can permanently unlock another carrier's locked devices. What he or someone else did was use the RSIM hack to make it work on the Filipino carrier - it is not carrier unlocked and will not accept another SIM.

If it was truly carrier unlocked, there would be no point in ever bothering with an illegal RSIM hack in the first place.

RSIM chips or cards are called interposer chips, and they make illegal use of national emergency call numbers to bypass carrier locks on devices. Since that is an illegal use of national emergency numbers in most countries, these SIM hardware hacks are illegal in most countries.
