Junk and spam are often used interchangeably.
Instead of using the mail app, try to use safari and log into your mail's web interface....for example if you use yahoo, use safari to go to yahoo.com, sign in and see what may be in your junk/spam folder.

In your mail, over on the left you should see your main mail folders, then below that, more folders, tap on those and you shoudl be able to navigate to your spam folder.
To mark things as not spam you may need to sign into your mail account via safari and either add the addresses to your address book or mark them 'not spam'.
I have looked everywhere and in every folder in my email, I could not find a "spam" folder. I do have a "junk" folder but this seems to be for emails I've received and I don't want; I actually move them in that folder. I don't think I have a spam folder that takes unread emails and puts them in a spam folder. Maybe I'm not making myself clear

Checked email through Safari and saw the spam folder, which had the same emails as junk which was on my app. I was actually looking for emails from a company that said they sent me 3 emails (never received them) thought they would have been there. You know how companuse always say check your spam folder if you didn't get an mail. I'm assuming the company never sent them ðŸ˜
Thanks for your help!
Spam usually goes to Junk. If you have Outlook they also added Junk Email for spam. If it's not in either log into your account at your email providers website and look for Spam there.
