ios 10.3.1 Iphone Really Slow

After many years being with Apple and using their product. I realized they keep releasing unnecessary updates that makes your device super slow. Maybe this is a trick to make customer to upgrade their device and pay more. So annoying

Something that would bother me too, but experience has taught me, that a new filing system will take time to repopulate the data after updating, and i would wait a day or so (especially if you have a lot of icloud notes and other stuff in the cloud), for it to settl in. Im not saying that this update doesnt slow the phone, im just saying that i have seen my phone slow for a day or two after updates, and then its ok. Same with OSX on the mac too

Have the same problem too after updating my iphone's software to ios 10.3.1 version, mine is 6s plus 128gb though still have 100+gb space available on its memory my iphone process so very slow in all aspects that I cried..

Dear Apple kindly do something to fix this problem...

Same here. I got a brand new 6s just 2 days ago, when i got it started I couldn't believe how well everything worked and how fast it was. Last night it updated automatically and it's now so slow it's practically unusable.

After updating my iPhone 6S+ to iOS 10.3.1 it became the dumbest phone ever in the entire world. I've never been so disappointed with Apple as much as I do now that I'm willing to switch to Samsung anytime. I've been using iPhone for 6 years now ( 4, 5C and 6S+) and this is the first time that my iPhone is close to being imbecile. Apple do something about this!!! I'm really not happy!!!

I have iphone 6s 64gb ios 10.3.1 and its really SLOW and has too much LAGS!! Its just sometimes the apps crashes then I restart my phone and still the same. And I can't download some applications in the app store ("unable to download"). I hate this new ios! Fix it APPLE!!

I have the same problem since iOS 10.3.1. I firstly thought I got some App running in the background, but several restarts don't fix the problem. I will file a bug to Apple so they have to take a look on that.

I too have noticed increased sluggish behavior. The truth seems that Apple has just switch to a different type of fundamental operating system management protocol. This protocol was designed for the new iPhone 7 and up and although it provides better battery life, it manages memory differently to help maximize the ram that you have. Remember not to confuse storage space (128gb) with ram used to operate the phone. They are different and despite ample storage space, the brain must still manage this. Ultimately, there are some rules to follow:

1. The newest operating system will always work best on the newest phone. Don't ever buy a phone anticipating upgrades or changes

2. Certain new features may not work as well on older phones and should be turned off unless you absolutely need them. Mail fetch is one and turning on reduced motion is another.

3. Never spend more on a phone than you can stand losing in 1-2 yrs. the hardware may last 3+ years but the user experience will decline as technology advances.

iPhone 6s

I have exactly the same problem with my iPhone 6s and I am surprised to see how many people are having the same issues. It is true one thing: it is unacceptable. Unfortunately there is a decline in Apple's software and hardware. Maybe for marketing reasons, maybe it is a company that's his true leader - guru there is no more.

The fact is that I had problems also with my iMac, a piece of hardware that costed me over 3.000€, and then for for 2 times I had monitor issues so I had to pay even more (1600€). The continuous updates are full of problems. My external hard disks are too slow, the same software that apple promotes (Final Cut for example) is slow. What's the point?

And what about the cloud services? Google and Microsoft are far more better. So after more than 10 years I believe I had to face the facts and evidence and the only solution is CHANGE. No more this devices.

I've also noticed this pattern. It seems that once your phone is two generations old, they release an update that slows it waaaay down just before the new phone is released. Can't be a coincidence this many years in a row.

I have an iPhone 7 and ever since the iOS 10.3.1 i have been having the same issues. The phone just stops responding and lags constantly.

Same problem with my 6s, with 10.3.1 i have all the games very slow, almost unplayable.

Also, internet is slow too.

They must fix this as soon as possible because is unacceptable for a 800€ phone

I also have this problem with my iPhone 6s 64gb after upgrading to 10.3.1

Ip SE 16gb. It's obviously slower, but the subtle difference are what's most obvious and annoying, like playing a tracks in music. Not impressed, not impressed at all
