Has anyone else that uses the Beats X figured out a way to wear them so there is not so much slack from the long cord?

I agree with your response. I guess it just looks kind of silly to have so much slack when us No the headphones.

I personally find the cable length to be ideal.
The design helps to prevent the cable from rubbing against clothing during wear (which may otherwise transmit noise) and also enables you to turn your head freely, without pulling on the ear buds.
If it helps, I have worn them out and about many times and haven't yet caught anyone staring or looking at me any more than usual 🙂
The cable length also enables you to easily remove the ear buds temporarily and connect them via the magnets, keeping the earphones safely around your neck ready for when you want to start using them again.
I found it useful to turn the earbuds one way or the other so the excess either loops in or out. I prefer the loop to go out however I have a jacket the cable likes to rub and catch on the zipper. If I wear them with the loop in it hugs my neck which keeps the excess away from the zipper. A minor annoyance, but it works for me.
