how do I fill iTunes on my new Mac? Before I had Windows. Is it possible to fill iTunes from my iPhone?

Hello,

I bought a Mac Air. Before I used a PC with Windows 7. I also have an iPhone 7 plus. I want to fill my empty iTunes on my Mac and tried several methods but non of them succeeded so far. So my question is: how do I fill iTunes on my Mac?

Kind regards,

Well, you may try the instructions in this article. They're a bit more complex, but they would select only your iTunes media.

Welcome to the world of Apple - Mac!

Apple provides tools to help you migrate from your Windows PC.

Responding to your post's title, no, the iPhone is not a music repository and cannot be used to populate your iTunes library. All the iPhone can move to a computer is music that was purchased in iTunes that is on the iPhone. But you can get this music in iTunes directly without the iPhone.

Thanks for your quick answer. I downloaded the migration tool. I have it on both my laptops. On my Mac I see PCHANSENFRANS and that's my Sony laptop but when I click the "go on" button on get the message that PCHANSENFRANS is not available. On my Sony the program is still waiting for a connection with my Mac.

Besides, if it's going to work, does this tool allows me to migrate only the content of iTunes? Because that it's all I want to do.
