Why can't i return my ibook?

So I purchased my second audiobook and in that process (accidentally) purchased the text version first. Figured I would get an email receipt with it later and return it like I've done with accidental iTunes purchases, and went along and bought my audiobook version. Never received a confirmation email for my iBooks purchases after waiting 24 hours. Next day I searched forums and found the "report a problem" through apple. Said it was a mistake, and now it's not eligible for a refund. All the forums I see say that apple is able to take iBooks back up to 14 days... and it's been only 2 days! Is there something I'm missing here?

Did you download the book ? If you did purchases are considered final, any refunds are at iTunes Support's discretion. You could also try contacting iTunes Support via https://support.apple.com/contact or https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html and seeing if they will refund you
