Major wifi problems since iOS 10.3 update. All my apple products are unable to connect to appl server please help

My iPhone 7 and iPad are having a lot of wifi connection issues. Every other product works fine with the wifi except all my apple products since this update. It keeps saying unable to connect to apple server please help.

Hello for the past few days I have been having the same problem!!!! I reset my network settings several times!!! And on top of that I also reset my router and iPhone!!!! My mom buys me my phone and I try my hardest not to have any problems with it!!!! My wifi works everywhere else but at hers!! Why?? I don't know, while it could just be my wifi at home other people are having the same issue. These solutions are not even doing anything!!!! Believe me I have tried! I am going to try one more thing this weekend when I am connected to wifi (if I still can at my dads house!!!) to update my phone. I have no idea if this will work but I thought it is worth a shot! If I don't get an answer that WORKS as the big hint there apple then I'm going to have some problems in my life!!! All it says for me is incorrect password!! Before however it would say incorrect password then unable to join!!! I know I have the correct password!! This is also eating up my data plz help!!! I will not get another phone if this one breaks and I'm hoping you have a solution because this phone never had an issue before!!!! HEEEEEELP!!!!!!!

I have worked on this issue with the following devices iPhone 5, SE, 6s & iPad 5th gen (2017). Only had the issue with known networks not coming from an Apple router. The 10.3.1 update was to fix some vulnerabilities with wifi which may have an effect on stored wifi networks. I have found that forgetting a known network then reconnecting has resolved the issue for me so far.

There are only 2 possibilities : either an OS issue, either a hardware issue. I have a 6S and started having same issues since iOS 10.3.1 update. It just won't connect to my wifi network anymore. I tried every recommendation (reset network settings, re-install iOS from iTunes etc.. no way, doesn't work). Then i wondered why it was connecting everywhere without issue, just issue at home (while i have 4 other Apple devices and they all work fine at home!!!). This meant no hardware issue, nore an iOS issue as i completely restored. I tried one thing that worked ! First you need to make sure you have a PIN code set up on you SIM card (you will understand later why i am asking this). First restart you iPhone, when it prompt to unlock your SIM, don't do it, just ignore. Then try to connect to wifi network --> guess what? It worked straight away. Then i enabled plane mode and disabled it again so my phone asks again to unlock the SIM.

I documented myself on the net and found out that sometimes there might be conflict between the 3/4G antenna and the wifi one inside the phone, specially when the wifi you have at home is settled on a certain "channel" (a wifi network broadcasts on different channel from 1 to 11 i think, this is normally automatic but can also be set up manually)


To be sure that my theory is real and works, i restarted again my phone but this time uncooked the sim before it connect to wifi : guess what? BANG BANG, doesn't connect !

You can not update if your phone doesn't support ios 10.3.1. Depends on the model you have.

A SIM is the little chip you put inside your phone and which gives you access to mobile network. Even there, it depends in which country you live. It is possible that in the US there are phone that does not require a SIM card.


An SMS is a the text messaging system of a mobile device. (Short Message Service). Hope this helps.

I have this exact same problem, too. None of my iOS devices (iPad 3, iPhone 6s Plus) navigates, even though they are connected to my home WiFi network. It's as if they are connected but the signal was extremely low... My Toshiba laptop on the other hand, is connected to the very same WiFi network and navigates perfectly.


When will Apple fix this WiFi connectivity problem?

I've tried hard resets. Network settings reset. Forgetting networks. I think my next step is to rebuild but I really don't want to in honesty. I still don't think it will fix the issue. Do we have a technical explanation on why these wifi issues have started since 10.3?


I have a IPhone 6+ and iPad Air. Both same symptoms which is random disconnection of wifi and slow data rates. staggering streaming etc.

fwiw: iPod and iPad mini refused to connect to my home router, while other equipment work fine (iMac, Lenove laptop, iPhone). After I changed the ip-address lease time in the router settings from "permanent" to "1 week", all of a sudden the two devices connect fine without a problem. Changing back to "permanent" reintroduced the issue and I could remove it again by applying the same procedure. For me ... issue solved, case closed 🙂

I currenty have a time capsule and 2 airport express extensions. Every device with 10.3 update, 4 iPhones and 2 iPads are constantly dropping wifi connections. This is not "router" related. This is a result of a security patch added to the network driver, that has produced a serious instability, probably with link layer protocol. You need to focus on this 10.3 driver package, because it is costing some customers quite a bit in data charges. The dropped wifi results in 3G or LTE connections, especially if wifi assist is enables. This caused our phones to use up 10+ GB the month, when our average utilization is only 4-5GB. So please save the response for a real solution. The excuses are costing us data.

Try this, had the same problem and worked for me , unfortunately apple doesn't dare to answer.

Steps to follow :

- make sure you upgrade to 10.3.1

- reset the networks settings of all your devices.


Try to re-connect to your time capsule.


If signal still drops, then :

- reset your time capsule (not the data, only the router. Reconfigure it as new, leave the ´wifi-channel' to automatic



I have several apple products and this solved it.

Hello, I had the same problem recently on iOS 10.3.2 for my iPhone 7+. I reset my network settings, then reset my phone. Afterwards, I selected the problem WIFI network I was unable to connect to.. then chose "forget this device" for that network. Switched my phone into airplane mode, then again selected the WIFI network I wanted to connect to... entered the WIFI password and was able to successfully join. 3 minutes later, I turned airplane mode off. The problem was resolved.

I have the same issue with my iPhone 5 and iPad 5... after 10.3 update i can not connect to wifi and am very disappointed and frustrated with this issue . Done 5-6 time complete restore and many network reset and now feel like throwing it as a junk..!

First time in my life i had these issue and it had really disturbed my peace.


i also see the arrogance from Apple that whn they send such updates to their customers they should also allow a fall back option to revert back to the previous versions.

It has been more than 3 weeks now and i could not find any solution. just all the load of BS.


Apple will lose the trust of the loyal customer soon..!
