No need to go with the All Caps on the message. That is rude and considered yelling on the internet.
What happens when you insert the SIM into the phone and you attempt to activate it? Do you see something on the screen? If so, what is the exact text of that message?
Considering you are referring to an iPhone 5, it would be used. Where did you get this? I'm guessing that the device is carrier locked.
I am sorry for the misunderstanding the capital letters where ment show difference in the explanation of what I have from the rest ; but it is working I get and make phone calls but I don't receive messages for hours or till connection to WiFi and I am trying to find out what to do the phone has no data available for Internet access etcetera says 1G/3G/LTE one of these three but still open Internet and it says no connection to carrier and I am confused about weather I'm having trouble do to have WRONG PERSONAL SETTINGS for this reason it is not connected or if I have something else wrong I am new to IPHONE it's my first it's a 5 YOUR CORRECT LOL idk how know but I am guessing that you have experience with iPhone and I know nothing about it so helping is a huge favor
If you are connected to the carrier and able to make and receive phone calls, then you need to contact them about what settings need to be on the phone for you to use data. Also, make sure that you have a data plan. All of that is controlled by the carrier. They should be able to explain all of your settings for you.
Take it to your carrier.
