White horizontal text box on desktop won't go away
Hello, I have a MacBook Air and there's a white horizontal text box that won't go away.
I can expand it like this
and also can write it on.
What is this, and how can I remove it?

That's a new one on me. I would first try booting into Safe Mode: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262
If that doesn't help, I would either reinstall the OS (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204904 ) or go to an Apple Store "genius" bar for diagnosis: https://support.apple.com/contact
Backup, as you always should, before you do either.
