i cannot send messages from iwatch to andriod device getting message failed

i cannot send message from iwatch to android device.

however i can receive them from all devices....

Some other users have recently reported experiencing the same issue.


It may help to follow these steps:


  • On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > check that your iPhone number (rather than an email address) is selected under the heading "Start New Conversations From".
  • Restart both your iPhone and Apple Watch, turning both off together, then restarting your iPhone first.


The following steps may also help (including if the "Start New Conversations From" section and/or your iPhone number is not shown on the Send & Receive screen):



If the issue persists, it may help to repeat the process whilst also signing out of iCloud (via Settings > [your name] > Sign Out) before restarting your iPhone and then signing back in again afterwards.


If the issue then still persists, then I suggest that you contact Apple Support for assistance:
