I don't know how to do any of this when my Computers LCD is broken, and I can't view the screen
Hi,
Go to System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement > select Mirror Displays > reset the NVRAM: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063.
If no luck, set Mirror Displays to the opposite setting and reset the NVRAM again.
If no luck, try booting into Safe Mode with and without the monitor connected: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262
Try resetting the SMC: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295.
Also, exactly which MBA do you have? Year, model identifier, screen size, and what connections are you using from MBA and at monitor end?
I have the 1.4 Ghz, 13 inch MacBook Air from Early 2014 with 128 GB Storage.
My bad, however you can reset the NVRAM and SMC without being able to see the display.
Then you have Thunderbolt on the MBA's end. What about the connection on the monitor's end?
How can I fix a grey screen on my monitor connected to MacBook Air?
