Apple Pay / Wallet missing name issue

Since the iOS update when I try to use Apple Pay I get an error indicating my name is not entered. That is the only information given to indicate the transaction will not complete. I have gone into settings and checked the information and there is no where to edit my name. Anyone else having this issue/how to I fix with Apple Pay?

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 9.3.5

The following steps may help:


Update your iPhone to the latest software (your question indicates that your iPhone is not up to date), starting by making a backup:


Remove the card and then add it back again:


  • To remove the card:
    • Go to: Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > tap the card > tap Remove Card (you may need to scroll down).

  • When adding the card again, choose to scan it using the camera, so that the name entered fully matches how it is shown on the card:
