Your Apple ID isn't associated with a content provider in iTunes connect 2002

The App Store does a very poor job on this. ITunes Connect comes up at the top of the list when you search “iTunes” but that app is only for developers and content providers. You need the iTunes Store.

Does anyone have an answer to this question (error msg 2002) for those of us who are NOT developers and who CANNOT resolve this conflict with the replies to date? Noticed that there are numerous queries but I have yet to see a response that helps mere iTunes users resolve this “conflict”. One that prevents us from iTunes tasks, such as updating version, etc.

I have same problem and because of that I can not put music on my IPhone 8 Plus I think I am going back to Android and not recommending an I phone to anyone else. Before they changed things I just dragged my files over but now I am told I must connect to the Connect app. All I keep getting is that 2002 error. I am fed up with Apple!

I'm a verified Solo artist on https://artist.itunes.apple.com/p/artistconnect

but there's nothing I can do on that URL and when I logon to the app iTunes Connect, it keeps giving me this error message (2002). Is there a specific reason for this?

I've installed Apple Music, got myself an account to stream about 30 million songs, but still the error message keeps appearing: I'm not able to do anything whatsoever with my two verified artists. Spotify does a much better job...

Just install Apple Music. It just solved all these problems!

Sadly you have to pay for that on an Android device.
