Facebook login results in a blank screen

I believe this is a Facebook question but my wife's iPad suddenly became unable to log into FB using Safari. Changed password - same results.

I tried logging on with my MBP and I get a blank screen with both Safari & Chrome which is why I think this is a FB problem but I don't know how to get to FB help - if there is such a thing - without logging in.

Anybody else encountered this problem and if so, do you have a resolution?
