There are some circumstances where photos on the phone are stored at a lower resolution.
The first is if you use an optimised library, however when you open a photo in an optimised library the full resolution image should download almost immediately, this might not be the case if you have a poor or no network or cellular signal.
Probably I was not clear enough in my previous post, apologies for this. I just switched to ICPL to test it, but I need to wait the upload process to end, which requires days and days.
The events described in my original post are related to AirPlay streaming via my iPhone where photos are synched directly via iTunes.
The fact I am wondering if they have a lower resolution on the iPhone is because I tried to sync all my library, which is 78GB on the Mac, while on the iPhone all these photos are occupying only 27GB. That's a sign of lower resolution stored on the iPhone, isn't it?
On other thought that occurred to me after my last post is that perhaps you have some setting on the TV which degrades the image from the Apple TV, such as motion settings etc.
Apologies again: I believed you were referring to an AppleTV setting and not to a TV setting.
Well, I cannot find anything on my TV which is limiting my AppleTv, and I believe there is nothing active like that as all Movies I purchased on the iTunes and shown on the AppleTV are 100% Full HD and very well displayed, without resolution issues.
The issue I am talking about is only related to photos. They are not bad, they are quite ok but, with respect to the quality seen on my Mac or when loaded on my TV remote web page, AppleTv Airplay is doing a less spectacular job.
