iBook g3 clamshell- connecting to internet via ethernet

Hello!


I recently purchased a 1999 version of the iBook G3 Clamshell. Everything surprising works on it. I'm just trying to figure out how to connect to internet via ethernet, since I do not believe an airport card has been installed. Also, the computer is running Mac os9. It keeps wanting me to set up an internet connection via dial up, which I obviously don't use. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you have the PowerBook2,1, you would have the first model of the iBooks. It does have an option for the original 802.11b AirPort card. Without the card, you would be reliant on the 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port.


This iBook originally came with Mac OS 8.6 and can be upgraded up to OS X 10.3.9.
