What is going on with Apple Music??
I've always used the music app since it came out. Switched to spotify for streaming functionality, then switched back to Apple when they released Apple Music.
Since then, I've switched between them both a couple of times before going with Spotify for good when Apple released iOS 10. The music app looked like it had been designed by a 5 year old with huge icons, ugly text, ugly colours and a number of glitches.
Anyway, recently got Carplay so for Siri functionality (which is extremely handy in the car), I am forced to go back to Apple Music. Already after a couple of hours I'm tearing my hair out. When you look at all the beautiful apps Apple consistently create, how on earth has this managed to get through QC??
Forgetting about the visuals, already a couple of major issues that I find staggering due to how basic and obvious they are:
- No way to sort music within a playlist. This is such a basic feature, available since music apps first appeared.
- No way to search for a song within playlist or song library. Only way is to use the universal search which also includes Apple Music results, which I don't want. I simply want to search to get to a song I know I have within my library/playlist.
PS I know you can search within your library only, but you first have to toggle the button to do that then toggle it back again for future searches when you DO want to search in Apple Music. Not exactly user friendly......although the entire app isn't either so hardly surprising.
Pathetic is the only word that comes to mind.
