I have the newest version of the MacBook Pro Laptop. My dog steped on my keyboard and I now have a picture of my hard drive on my main screen as if it is a screenshot. How to I delete it or put it back to its proper place in Finder? Stupid question but its driving me crazy...

If it's a picture,you can go to system preferences,then desktop,and change it, or just click n' drag it at the edge to the Trash. If it's a copy of your hard drive( an alias) you should be able to drag it to the Trash as well.clever dog- he found a key combo that does that-we might have a potential future Genius Bar employee ;)

You were correct. However, the dog in the cartoon needs to be standing on the floor, impatiently waiting for me to move my butt and let him out. He decided, forget her,, I'll just cut across her and the computer that is also on the floor... LOL
Yep,your 100% correct. The cartoon its a perfect example of what my 4 legged friend, (Rocky the Pit) actually did with the exception of the chair. Rocky was standing next to me & my computer which is on the floor, (on the floor because I'm at my Moms in Alabama where she's still stuck in the 20's, has no internet, no computer, or any electronic device within 20 miles of her home) impatiently waiting for me to move my butt and let him out. He decided, forget her,, I'll just cut across her and the computer... LOL, Ive learned not to play live videos of cats playing around on AFV because my dogs would completely screwup my computer up because every time I play a video with cats, squirrels, dogs, or anything that can run, they think they can get into the screen and catch them. Oh Lord, I need to get back to Floridalll
The simplest explanation I can think of is that he made an alias (command-L). If it s an alias, it should say "alias".
