Circular black rubber part inside MacBook Pro - what is it?

Greetings fellow Apple Support Communities users,

Today I was testing my new SSD inside my MacBook Pro (mid-2010, 13-inch) and, upon putting it in, I noticed it was seemingly resting on something squishy.

Only after I removed it and put my regular hard drive inside (only installing SSD permanently in a few days after organizing all files) I noticed a small circular/disc black rubber part inside.

Here are a few pictures:

I have searched the Internet multiple times but can not seem to find what this part is.

Please help me!

Best regards,

Anthony

Thank you for your replies.

I will be inspecting iFixit's guides more closely tomorrow but as of now no image seems to show this part. I'll also watch more hard drive replacement videos and see if it appears in any if them, since every guide I've read/watched does not show/mention it.

Since this model of MacBook Pro with various models of hard drive from factory, might this rubber bumper compensate for a thinner hard drive? Mine is Seagate, but some are WD Black.

it appears to be a drive spacer which - if it is - is used to secure the HDD to the chassis so the drive doesn't' strike or bump any hard surface when the laptop is moved. It's not any part of the logic board AFAIKT. Also if it is, it's possible the factory used one type that doesn't look like "stock apple" then ran out and used whatever they had on hand so production wouldn't come to a halt, it's also possible the drive was changed out and someone forgot to take out the spacer.

It may not have come directly from Apple and I never stated it did, however it's not impossible. My understanding is at one point Apple had parts coming from two different factories in Taiwan. Likely this is a 3rd party f up but we had a Buick with a coke bottle welded in the front quarter panel at the factory so it's not impossible something or someone happened at the factory to cause a problem which was not evident in 7 other buicks owned by anyone else.
