Hi
To record workouts on your Apple Watch and record the most accurate results, be sure to use the Workout app (or a third-party fitness app) and to choose the activity type that most closely matches your workout. This enables your Apple Watch to use the most appropriate sensors and data sources when estimating results:

Apple Watch uses different sensors and data sources to track the results of workouts, depending on the activity type. When the paired iPhone is not also taken along, Apple Watch Series 2 models use their built-in GPS when estimating distances for Outdoor Run and Outdoor Walk workouts rather than relying on interpreting your arm motion (measured via the accelerometer), which may be limited when pushing a stroller.
To calibrate your Apple Watch for when GPS data is either not available or not relevant, including resetting any existing calibration data, follow the instructions here:

It may also help to check that Location Services is enabled for your Apple Watch:
- On your iPhone go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
- Check that Location Services is enabled (top setting).
- In the list of apps beneath, check that Apple Watch Workout is set to > While Using > While Using the App.
