I'm doing updates to apps on my iPhone and it's saying that it needs to update my payment info and it won't accept my MasterCard. It worked before and I made recent purchases. I put in the credit card info fresh and I still get the same error. Thank

What is / isn't accepted by iTunes can change over time. If you have a different card (preferably a credit card, not all debit cards seem to still work) you could try that instead, or see if you can remove the card (which would let you download updates) : Change or remove your Apple ID payment information - Apple Support

Same issue, AppStore worked yesterday for updates on iPad and iPhone but today AppStore asked for verifiction and will not accept my (existing) Credit Card.


Have tried also with logging into my AppleID online, the same issue, Credit Card not accepted. All was well and working yesterday, not expired, not a card issue! To check, I wondered downstairs to the cafe, used my card successfully, come back to my computer and tried again, still not accepted.

Yeah, I had tried a few things like that without success (Although It won't actually let me remove the card as such). I had also tried checking/updating/changing billing and/or postal addresses thinking they might be a factor.


Will try another card when I get home (maybe even try another, then try the existing again).

It's a bit frustrating when I only carry one card with me, the one associated with my AppleID, and it mysteriously stops working mid-trip!
