iPad mini 4 power button stick

So this morning I woke up to my brother's space grey iPad mini 4 power button not working. I was online to find a way to turn it off but it only workes for older model. Please someone give me a way to turn it off with out draining to battery

null-OTHER, iOS 10.3.1, has a small dent from dropped
