Transferring contact list from iPhone 6s to 2010 Subaru Outback.

I got my apple iPhone 6s to connect to my 2010 Subaru outback, and can make and receive calls. However I cannot transfer my contact list to the car multimedia. I asked apple but got instructions that did not apply to my phone? The car has the latest software.

iPhone 6s, iOS 10.3.1

When you go into Bluetooth on the phone, there should be a small ℹ to the right of your vehicle name. When you click on that, you should see a switch to sync contacts. If that is on, then it could be a problem with the vehicle sending the command. The command to sync contacts doesn't come from the iPhone, it comes from the car. This switch is just telling it to accept it.

I've read of a number of issues with Subaru vehicles, and it seems that attempts to pair the vehicle and the phone from the radio head doesn't work good. It seems if you do it from the steering wheel controls it works. I'm not a Subaru owner, but I can tell you this is what I've read here numerous times in the forum.
