13A Switched Socket + 3.1A 2G Charger

Based in the U.K., I am considering replacing a couple existing 13 sockets at home which do not have USB charging sockets, with 13A sockets which do have the facility and have 2 questions:

1. Would it be ok to plug the charging cables for my iPod, iPhone and iPad into the new USB sockets directly and thereby dispensing with the use of the 13A/USB adapters I have to use with the existing sockets, and;

2. If the answer to Q1 above is yes, which amperage should I choose from the following: 2.1A or 3.1A or 4.2A?

The iPad has the biggest current draw (2.1Amps).

The iPad Pro seems more like 2.4A. There is discussion on a 29W charger based on regulatory spec that would not work from USB (2A at 14.5V)…

3A may be enough for 2 iPhones but 4A would be better if you hang an iPad off it with a phone.

Just consider the output appears to be shared to both outputs, so 2 iPad Pros would be too much for those & the charge rate would drop.
