what,is,the,"factory,setting",DNS,server,for,my,2016,Masco,Pro,supposed,to,be?

I would like to know what the standard," factory setting" DNS server settings are for the below mentioned computer.

MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inch, early 2015)

processor 2.7 GHz Intel core i5

memory 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR 3

Operating system Mac OS Sierra version 10.12.4

Backstory:

My computer was acting weird so I took it upon myself to change a few things in system preferences... I would not recommend this approach to others. 😕

I decided to change the network settings and began by deleting the "factory" DNS server. I added two new DNS servers based on the suggestion of an article I read... Anyway I basically want to know what the DNS server should be so that I can undo the changes I made.

Thank you for your help!

Mac OS X (10.5.2)

DNS servers vary based on your network. There is no 'factory DNS server'.

Most home routers will tell connected machines the correct DNS server to use. I suggest you make a note of the current ones & then delete them. Disconnect & reconnect your network. You should see grey values if the router is providing a default DNS server.

Test the internet, if it fails reinsert the ones you made a note of, otherwise use googles servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 or any other free DNS server should work).
