amazon music app using too much storage

My iPad just gave me a notice that it was nearly out of storage space, so I reviewed the storage stats. I was horrified to learn that the Amazon Music app was taking up over 17 GB of space. I have downloaded exactly 32 songs--about 2 hours worth. Either each of these music files is super-huge, or the app itself has a serious bloat problem. I would be very grateful for any advice on rescuing some of that space.
