My iPhone 6 smart case will not charge

About a month ago I purchased a smart case for my iPhone six, and it's worked fine up until now. When I go to charge my phone while in the case, it will not charge. It doesn't even indicate that it I plugged in. Even when I take the phone out of the case and hook up just the smart case to the outlet it doesn't indicate that it is charging. I have tried to charge my phone without the case on and it works fine. I have tried to charge the case both by itself and with the phone inside it with multiple outlets and multiple different charging cables. I do not have the latest version of IOS yet, but seeing as the problem is not that the case won't charge the phone, but rather the case itself cannot be charged, I assume that this wouldn't affect it. Does anyone know what I should do to get it to work again? Does the update truly affect the case even when it isn't plugged into the iPhone?

Hi

If you are referring to an Apple Smart Battery Case, then follow the instructions in the following support article including:

Checking the charging port on the case for any debris or lint.
Using only a genuine Apple or MFi-certified cable.
- If possible, also test using another such cable.
- Apple also recommends using genuine Apple USB Power Adapters.

If the issue persists, contact Apple Support (mail-in service may be available, if required), make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider to arrange for your case to be checked and, if necessary, replaced:
