Transpose rows and columns ... again... for kids

Question

Hi. My kids are using Numbers 4.1 and we want to simply switch rows and columns. See below for Excel example.

In EXCEL it is simple. Just Copy and Paste Special (select TRANSPOSE).

But is there a similar simple way in NUMBERS?

The solutions in Communities are too complex for my 10 year old.

In previous Excel there was a Switch Row/Column button under Data - Source Data menu option but Excel 2016 does not seem to allow that now.

We want to use NUMBERS.

So ... how do I Transpose rows and columns, please, in above example?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS Sierra (10.12), lives with iMacs, eMate & Newton.

I cannot replicate your port either:

Now Transpose using menu item

Perhaps the document is corrupt. Try a new document

I was also able to transpose when there was a chart referencing the table:

Click anywhere in the table and in the menu choose Table > Transpose Rows and Columns.

Note that in Numbers, unlike in Excel, data is best organized in discrete tables rather than "in one big sheet."

In charts you can click the 'Edit Date References' rectangle and (lower left) choose 'Plot Rows as Series' or 'Plot Columns as Series'.

select the range, then select the menu item "Table > Transpose Rows and Columns"

Can't replicate that result here. Try with a new document perhaps based on the 'Charting Basics' template at File > New. Also could try restarting.
