CDs won't read

CDs won't read

I bought m 4-year-old a used G3 iMac and a bunch of games from a coworker. When I tried to load any of the games, it says the CD is unreadable and asks me if I want to initialize it.

Any one have any ideas?

G3 233, Mac OS 9.2.x

First welcome to the discussions.
If the games you bought were for a PC, they will not work.
If the games you bought are for a Mac and are for a newer Operating System like OSX then they won.t work.
Read the disc's carefully, they should be marked as to what they will work with.
Your Operating System is OS9 and the games must be for OS9
