My Macbook Pro 2016 Touch Bar 15" drops connection on my wifi when connected to a usb 3.0 external hard drive with usb-c adapter. I access my work documents on my external hard drive, and need to constantly unplug it in order to have proper internet connection on my wifi..... Is anyone else having this problem? or is it just me?

You have 90 days from date of purchase to use free phone support. I would start there, or go to an Apple Store "genius" bar: https://support.apple.com/contact
Remember to bring the the HD and adapter, and backup before you go.
Same problem for me. But I have found the cause: USB 3.1 C Type adapter, if they are bad shielded, can cause an interference around the 2.4 GHz frequency. Intel explains all this on an ownarticle.
So swap your adapter with another one (preferably of a good brand) and try the difference.
